Requirements:
Goal: ntroducing the students to the latest findings concerning theoretical foundations of project management as a specialized discipline. Mastering the basic methods and techniques used in project management. Training students to apply this knowledge in planning, following and monitoring a project.
Outcome: Upon passing the exam, the students will be able to: plan, monitor and control small-scale endeavours using the Primavera Project Planner software package; apply the methods used in the modern organization of the production process, program the production while taking into account the market, expenses, price, capacity, and assets; apply management methods, techniques and strategies in business operations.

Theoretical instruction:

  3. Basic characteristics of a project.
  4. Types of projects.
  5. Project life cycle.
  6. The origins and development of project management.
  7. The basic concept behind project management.
  8. The functional concept of project management.
  9. Organizing project management.
  10. Managing human resources within a project.
  11. Managing project quality.
  12. Planning project realization.
  13. Monitoring and controlling project realization.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Practical instruction closely follows theoretical classes, with a particular focus on the role of project manager, report systems for project realization, and the use of the Primavera Project Planner software package.
