Requirements:
Goal: Reading and translating professional English texts, acquiring professional terminology related to information and communications technologies.
Outcome: Upon completion of the course, students should be able to read and translate professional English texts and use ICT terminology at work.

  7. Programming / Jobs in ICT
  8. Computers tomorrow
  9. EXTENSIVE READING: Object oriented programming. Web-programming. Web-design. Databases. Computer architecture. Computer networks: TCP/IP protocols. Network devices. Internet
  10. LANGUAGE WORK: Collocations, word formation (prefixes, suffixes), the passive voice, irregular plural, countable/uncountable nouns
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Oral and written translation, vocabulary activities, reading and writing tasks
  2. Homework, self-study, pair work, seminar papers
  3. Online workbook, interactive internet research tasks
