Requirements:
Goal: The development of computer communications dramatically changes the classic ways of doing business. The aim of the course is to present to students the most important opportunities provided by electronic business, applied to stock exchange transactions.
Outcome: Enabling students to apply the acquired knowledge in the electronic business of companies on the stock exchange.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Stock exchange as an electronic trading platform: The concept and types of stock exchanges. Principles of work. Securities market. Investors. Speculative balloons. Users. Intermediaries. Country. Effects. Actions. Bonds. Treasury bills. Municipal publishing houses. Hedging. Swaps. Futures. Options.
  2. Belgrade Stock Exchange: Methods of work. Basic steps in buying and selling. Fluctuation zone. Market makers. The world's leading stock exchanges. Other world stock exchanges. Forex. Leverage. Agency theory. Asymmetric information. Negative selection. Moral hazard.
  3. Stock Indices: Random wok hypothesis. Index characteristics. Weighting. Dow Jones. Stoxx. Nasdaq.Standard & Poor’s. Ftse100. Topix. Nikkei.
  4. Main indicators of the Belgrade Stock Exchange: Belexline, Belex15, Srx. Index basket. Fis. Fit. Fib.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Laboratory exercises - students solve given cyber problems related to the business of Belgrade and other world stock exchanges.
