Requirements: Knowledge of technical drawing and descriptive geometry.
Goal: Introducing the students to the theoretical and practical foundations necessary for understanding the methods of construction for menswear. Adopting lasting knowledge needed for industrial and individual manufacturing.
Outcome: Upon fulfilling their pre-exam obligations and passing the exam, the students should be able to: apply the obtained knowledge in the construction of menswear, both individually and as a part of a team.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Standards for the construction of menswear. Body measurements; taking measures.
  2. Construction of classic pants for men.
  3. Construction of sports pants for men.
  4. Construction of men's trousers.
  5. Construction of men's shirts.
  6. Construction of men's shirts.
  7. Construction of men's pajamas.
  8. Construction of men's vests.
  9. Construction of men's blazers.
  10. Construction of men's blazers.
  11. Construction of men's blazers.
  12. Construction of men's jackets.
  13. Construction of men's jackets.
  14. Construction of men's coats.
  15. Construction of men's coats.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Practical realization of garments following theoretical instruction.
