Basic information
Level of Studies: Undergraduate applied studies
Year of Study: 2
Semester: 3
Requirements: Knowledge of the basics of mechanical engineering.
Goal: Introducing the students to the characteristics of machines and devices, work parameters and applied mechanisms, and the application of microprocessor-based equipment in various machines and devices. Developing the ability to determine the best working conditions and choose a technological approach which would allow for maximum productivity while maintaining product quality.
Outcome: Upon passing the exam, the students will be able to: classify machines according to groups; describe their application; recognize parts, structures, and the way in which machines and devices work; recognize different types of stitches, and the machines which produce them; calcluate the consumption of thread for different stitch types and the production capacity of a single, or several machines.
