The Basics of Textile Technology Course code: OTT 221135 | 6 ECTS credits

Basic information
Level of Studies: Undergraduate applied studies
Year of Study: 2
Semester: 3
Requirements: Knowledge of the structure and characteristics of textile materials; basics of physics, mathematics, and technical drawing.
Goal: Introducing students to the theoretical foundations of textile technology, so that they could efficiently use this knowledge in the production of yarn, knitted, woven, and nonwoven textile materials.
Outcome: Upon passing the exam, the students will be able to: explain basic functional elements of machines used in spinning, knitting, weaving and manufacturing nonwovens; explain the procedures implemented in the production of yarns, knitted and woven fabric, and nonwoven textile; choose an appropriate technology in a given field according to the demanded quality; perform calculations related to the preparation of production in the field of a given textile technology; organize production in plants for the manufacture of yarns, knitted, woven, and nonwoven materials.
