Requirements:
Goal: Providing knowledge on the methods and systems used in programming, planning and managing tasks involved in the preparation of production. The students will be introduced to the structural components of preparing the production, along with the specific features of production within the textile industry.
Outcome: The students will have mastered the methods and systems of programming, planning and managing tasks involved in the preparation of production.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. The notion of organizational structures within the textile industry.
  2. Resources of the production system. Analysis and capacity programming.
  3. Energy in the production system. Job planning.
  4. Definition of planning. Marketing.
  5. Market research analysis.
  6. Planning the production in the apparel industry.
  7. Development in the apparel industry.
  8. Technical preparation of the production in the apparel industry.
  9. Designing in the apparel industry.
  10. Construction preparations in the apparel industry.
  11. Technological preparations.
  12. Operative preparations.
  13. Material testing.
  14. Production schedules, yearly and monthly plans.
  15. Information systems used in production preparations.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Built-in capacity. Available capacity. Necessary capacity. Used capacity. Number of workers according to structure and education. Creating a survey. Creating pattern images. Determining material consumption. Production schedule. Creating a yearly/monthly plan. Creating a technological chart. Creating a working order. Calculations (fabric use and scraps).
