Requirements:
Goal: Introduction to information and communication technologies in terms of realizing electronic communications through various forms of implementation in modern business.
Outcome: After successful completion of this course, students should be able to define terms related to electronic communications; to define the concept and principles of information and communication technologies; to understand the types of communication technologies; to understand the application of electronic communications in modern business; to understand the way of providing and needs in the development of services provided by electronic channels.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. The concept and task of electronic communications.
  2. History of electronic communications.
  3. General model of communication, types of messages and signals.
  4. Media for conducting electronic communications.
  5. Types of electronic communications.
  6. Basic concepts of networking.
  7. Standardization and regulation in electronic communications.
  8. Application of electronic communications.
  9. Electronic communications in a business environment.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Workshops in which students are trained to search for / use literature and relevant data sources in the field of electronic communications.
