Project from Photogrammetry and Cartography Course code: PFTK | 6 ECTS credits

Basic information
Level of Studies: Undergraduate applied studies
Year of Study: 2
Semester: 4
Requirements:
Goal: Enabling students to create standard photogrammetric products (digital terrain model (DTM), digital topographic plan (DTP) and digital orthophoto (DOP) based on the available photogrammetric block of images or to create a project to create a digital cartographic database and its implementation.
Outcome: Students are trained to participate in the development of all types of geodetic and technical documentation on the basis of acquired knowledge. Ability to independently apply standard photogrammetric procedures for data collection on space, orthorectification and inclusion of obtained data in GIS, ie ability to independently create a project of digital cartographic database and its implementation.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Independent production of standard photogrammetric products on the example of one aero-photogrammetric block. Photogrammetric measurements for the needs of DMT, dDigital photogrammetric restitution for the needs of DKP development, DOF production and preparation of output data for export to GIS. Or Defining the project task. Analysis and defining the methodology of creating a digital cartographic database. Analysis and definition of optimal sources of cartographic data. Performing a feasibility study. Analysis and definition of methodology for quality assessment of digital cartographic database. Development of technical instructions for project implementation.
