Requirements:
Goal: Introducing students to the possibilities and technology of application of the photogrammetric method of collecting data on space and objects in various engineering and technical fields, as well as their training for independent application of this method in solving specific engineering tasks.
Outcome: Mastering the necessary knowledge about the possibilities and technology of application of photogrammetry in engineering and technical fields and the ability for independent application in solving specific tasks in engineering.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Close-subject photogrammetry
  2. Biscuit subject photogrammetric imaging techniques
  3. Near-subject photogrammetric scanning technique
  4. 3D scanners
  5. Measuring and semi-measuring cameras
  6. Digital photogrammetric recording systems
  7. Techniques for measuring and processing recorded material
  8. Extended model of perspective beam alignment in short-range photogrammetry
  9. Combined alignment of photogrammetric and non-photogrammetric measurements
  10. Evaluation of the quality of the results
  11. Planning and design of works in the field of short-subject photogrammetry
  12. Use of amateur recordings for measurement purposes
  13. Calibration of amateur camera lenses
  14. Judicial and police practice of applying close-subject photogrammetry
  15. Application of photogrammetry in the protection of cultural monuments
  16. Application of photogrammetry in architecture and construction
  17. Application of photogrammetry in quality control
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Photogrammetric short-range imaging. Calibration of amateur photo cameras. Processing of close-up images and presentations of obtained data. Demonstration of the application of photogrammetry in various engineering and technical fields.
