Requirements:
Goal: Course objective is to introduce students to the possibilities of solving standard geodetic tasks using application software solutions, as well as developing the ability to independently apply application software and adapt them to specific requirements and data type.
Outcome: Knowledge and ability for independent application of the most important application software in the field of geodesy, engineering geodesy, GIS, public records, geodetic plans, photogrammetry, etc. Also, the ability to independently prepare the necessary input data, data processing and presentation and analysis of the obtained results.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Introduction to the characteristics and possibilities of application of the most famous application software and their dedicated modules in the field:
  2. Leveling of geodetic networks
  3. Deformation analyzes
  4. Engineering geodesy
  5. Geographic information systems - GIS
  6. Public records in the real estate cadastre
  7. Cartographies
  8. Geodetic plans
  9. Photogrammetry
  10. Landscaping
  11. as well as the application of individual modules of universal software that can be used to solve specific geodetic tasks (MatLab, AutoCAd, ...).
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Practice and individual work on project formation, preparation of input data, data processing, presentation and analysis of obtained solutions for available application software and certain specific modules.
Textbooks and References
  1. Literature available on installation discs in pdf format, as well as printed copies. Internet presentations and instructions for the application of specific software.
