Requirements:
Goal: This course aims to present planning experience to prepare geodetic engineers to participate in urban design, as well as to acquire practical knowledge and skills related to the collection, processing, presentation and use of information about space, development of design bases, participation in design and implementation of spatial and urban plans.
Outcome: The course enables understanding of the process of spatial planning, settlement development, getting to know and learning the basic principles in spatial design: urban functions, urban elements, influential factors and their role. Students get acquainted with communal systems, infrastructure and superstructure, urban economy and environmental protection. Through the presentation of regulations, the content of spatial and urban plans, practices in the implementation of plans, development of investment programs for land management and construction of facilities, it is possible to introduce into practical work.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Characteristics of urbanism, definition, urbanism through the centuries
  2. Basic concepts and processes in spatial planning
  3. Principles of planning in rural and urban areas
  4. Physical structure of the city, urban analysis, urban elements
  5. Urban functions, functional zones, influencing factors
  6. Urban infrastructure
  7. Reconstruction and sanitation of settlements,
  8. Regulations in the world and in our country, sustainable development
  9. Review of the content of spatial and urban plans
  10. Review of the procedure for making a plan and implementing the plan
  11. Realization of the plan (construction land development program)
  12. The role of geodesy and geoinformatics in spatial planning and urban planning and construction of facilities
  13. Urbanism in Belgrade, history and current situation
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Preparation of a seminar paper that includes a theoretical and practical part on a topic defined from the content of lectures
