Requirements:
Goal: Course objective is to acquaint students with the specifics of funding in real Requirements and the problems that arise, as well as their training to solve them.
Outcome: By mastering the specifics of funding in real requirements and the ability to solve problems that occur during funding.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Choice of foundation and foundation design: geostatic research works, soil improvement methods, choice of foundation type, interaction of structures - foundation - soil, impacts on neighbouring objects.
  2. Peculiarities of foundations in relation to the type of soil: foundations in sand, excavations in sand, subsidence, influence of vibrations; foundations in clay, foundations in dusty deposits, foundations in heterogeneous and uneven soil; based on the wall.
  3. Funding in river and sea; strengthening existing foundations.
  4. Laying of the foundation: different calculation methods.
  5. Foundation pits. A simple wooden support. Mining support. Vertical girders and horizontal planks. Nails and reinforced concrete diaphragms.
  6. Deep foundation: piles, axially and laterally loaded piles, negative friction, piles in a group, pile plates, pile testing; other forms of deep foundation: massive foundations, wells and caissons.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. The content of theoretical classes is practically applied through computational exercises.
