Requirements: Knowledge of history of art, drawing and painting, artistic elements and composition, digital design, printed textile design, woven and knitted textile design, the basics of clothing, fashion design and computers.
Goal: Mastering the skills of presenting and defending an idea, acquiring principles for creating a presentation of a project and a personal multimedia or graphic presentation.
Outcome: Upon passing the exam, the students will be able to envision, plan and create different types of presentations for design solutions and create their personal portfolio.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Elements and types of presentation.
  2. Types of photography within a presentation.
  3. Photographing textile materials and garments.
  4. Use of computers in creating presentations (multimedia).
  5. Presenting printed apparel textile.
  6. Presenting woven and knitted textile designs.
  7. Presenting furnishing textiles.
  8. Presenting garment design.
  9. Internet presentations.
  10. Graphic presentations.
  11. Creating a personal portfolio.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Creating photographs for the presentation of textile and apparel design. Creating a printed textile presentation with several solutions and the adjoining documentation. Creating a presentation for woven and knitted textiles. Creating a presentation for apparel forms and a collection of garments. Creating a personal portfolio.
