Requirements: Fulfillment of pre-exam requirements from the course Designing.
Goal: This course is intended to educate prospective engineers to deal with designing architectural structures through the demonstration of interdependence of architectural and urban complex and to train themfor simultaneous project method.
Outcome: The course provides understanding of the design process, introducing and learning basic principles in designingthe functional space in a structure for various purposes. The review of regulations, contents of project documentation, project verification and implementation enables an introduction into practical work on the jobs related to preparation and elaboration of structure projects as well as management and appropriate decision making.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Harmony in nature, art and architecture
  2. Habitat, urban space, house – a universal house andpresentation of sociological experiments influencing urban planning and architecture today
  3. Introduction to architectural design, the task of designing, the character of a designer, construction program, the technique of designing, basic and technical requirements. The problem of dwelling, collective dwelling
  4. General data, functions, elements and size of an apartment, analysis of an apartment as a whole, use value of an apartment
  5. Systems of standard modular dimensions, approach to dimensional and modular coordination
  6. Associate structures in dwelling zones
  7. Facilities in utility-storage zone
  8. Facilities of city center zone
  9. Facilities in the zones of special functions
  10. Facilities of general city importance in urban greenery areas
  11. Facilities in the zones of industrial production
  12. Agricultural facilities
  13. Acoustics in architecture and bio-construction
