Basic information
Level of Studies: Undergraduate applied studies
Year of Study: 3
Semester: 6
Requirements: Passed all the exams stipulated by the curriculum of the academic program.
Goal: While preparing graduation thesis (Bachelor thesis), students are trained to perform the most complex geodetic tasks independently in the field of state surveying, cadaster and engineering-technical works. Students gain knowledge and experience solving specific practical assignments and preparing technical docummentation, as well as in implementing legislation in this field.
Outcome: Competence to independently carry out standard procedures and processes within the scope of real estate cadaster and cadaster of lines, to fulfill standard geodetic tasks from engineering-technical fields, as well as to prepare projects and other technical documentation in accordance with current legal and technical standards.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. With the help of their tutors, students independently prepare Bachelor thesis which should include solving specific assignments in the field of state surveying and real estate cadaster, or implementation of an assigned project or report for solving specific engineering and technical tasks. After providing practical solution to the selected assignment, students complete graduation thesis which, as a rule, includes: Introduction. Theoretical part. Practical part. Results with the appropriate technical documentation. Conclusion and References.
  2. As a rule, graduation thesis should include some of the following areas:
  3. • Establishment and maintenance of real estate cadaster and cadaster of lines,
  4. • Establishment of geodetic networks in the state surveying, and in engineering-technical fields,
  5. • Collection, processing and presentation of spatial data for the purpose of a database of digital geodetic or cadastral-topographic plan,
  6. • Photogrammetric works in state surveying and engineering-technical fields,
  7. • Collection, processing and presentation of spatial data for GIS purposes,
  8. • Metrological provision of geodetic works,
  9. • Geodetic works in urban planning, spatial planning and land consolidation,
  10. • Geodetic works in engineering-technical fields.
  11. After the thesis is completed, students access to public defense of the graduation thesis before a commission.
