Requirements:
Goal: Acquiring appropriate theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of economics, business finances, and accounting of a business company and entrepreneurship, and comparative economic and financial analyzes of the operations of individual companies (Examples: JSC "Serbian Railway Infrastructure", Company for railway transport of goods JSC "Srbija Cargo", Company for railway transport of passengers JSC ''Srbija Voz'', ''Kombinovani prevoz'', etc.).
Outcome: Students will be able to understand relevant financial terms and categories, to perform basic techniques of ratio analysis, to expand knowledge about all aspects of financial analysis, to understand finance principles of proper financial operations and the quality of engagement of financial resources, to demonstrate their knowledge by analyzing the specific financial situation, to demonstrate their skills necessary for successful financial operations.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Principles of business finance.
  2. Sources of financing and cost of capital.
  3. Liquidity indicators, activities, financial structure, profitability, market value, and other financial indicators of a company.
  4. Financial security analysis.
  5. Risk and leverage, statement of financial cash flows, net working capital management, inventories, cash, etc.
  6. Investment evaluation.
  7. Financial assessment.
  8. Financial and credit analysis.
  9. Financial business plan, etc.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Practical instruction is followed by a lecture program. Exercises, study research work, seminar work, etc.
