Basic information
Level of Studies: Undergraduate applied studies
Year of Study: 2
Semester: 4
Requirements:
Goal: Acquiring the necessary knowledge in the field of material resistance and relations with other study programs relevantto the fields of mechanical engineering and construction.
Outcome: Students are enabled to develop a rational approach to solving calculation tasks to accept the boundary parameters and master practical methods for the calculation and dimensioning of structural elements of rolling stock, steel and concrete structures and bridges, and machines.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Moments of inertia of flat surfaces
  2. Determining the main moments of inertia of complex surfaces
  3. Stresses
  4. Clean bending, bending forces, elastic line and ways of solving elements exposed to bending
  5. Clean shear, technical shear and shear cases of individual elements
