Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Defining marketing and developing the marketing concept
  2. Services marketing
  3. Marketing in transport as a subsystem in the system of services marketing
  4. Services marketing mix and the relationship approach in marketing
  5. Production and sales orientation in business operations of transport companies
  6. Marketing orientation in business operations of transport companies
  7. Notion and development of the market of transport services
  8. Division and structure of the market of transport services
  9. Characteristics of the market of transport services.
  10. Transport service as a product and services management: notion, specificities, quality, planning the development of service quality.
  11. Distribution management: sales channels and modernization of the selling of railway services of passenger and freight transport.
  12. Promotion management: role of promotion, media, and means of propaganda, studying the effects of railway promotion.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. 1. Examples of studying and determining individual elements of the marketing mix, effects of applied methods, and assessments of analysed indicators. 2. Examples of preparing organizational and programming schemes for managing marketing operations.
