Goal:
Studying the specific areas of mathematics which should enable students to successfully follow and manage other fundamenatal , technical and other specialistic subjcts throughout their studies, as to develop intelectual abilities for logical reasoning, as well as developing work habits and sistematicity in work.
Outcome:
Finished students should be able to solve real life as well as work problems using mastered mathematical methods.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
- Indefinite integral
- Integration of rational functions
- Definite integral
- Improper integrals: integral with unbounded domain and integrals with singularities
- Application of definite integrals: area of a flat figure, the volume of solids of revolution, length of an arc of the curve, area of solids of revolution
- Differential equations of the first order
- Differential equations of the second order
- Numerical methods
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
- Solvig problems of topics covered by the course.
