Knitted Fabric Technology Course code: TPT 113039 | 5 ECTS credits

Basic information
Level of Studies: Undergraduate applied studies
Year of Study: 2
Semester: 4
Requirements: Knowledge of textile raw materials; structure and characteristics of yarns; basic physics and mathematics.
Goal: Introducing students to the basics of knitting technology, types of knitted structures, their structural parameters and characteristics. The basics of knitted textile design.
Outcome: Upon passing the exam, the students will be able to: determine construction and technology parameters of knits for a given sample; explain the basic functional elements of knitting machines; calculate the necessary amount of yarn for the production of knit of a given size; draw technical diagrams for weft and warp knitted fabrics; perform fabric decomposition.
