Motive Power - Mechanical Part Course code: 117008 | 5 ECTS credits

Basic information
Level of Studies: Undergraduate applied studies
Year of Study: 2
Semester: 4
Requirements:
Goal: The student gets acquainted with the principles of functioning, existing and new technical solutions of traction vehicles, construction of locomotives, diesel, and electric train units, with special emphasis on traction vehicles of the Serbian Railways fleet to properly use and determine malfunctions and damage, for design, technology, and implementation maintenance processes for further use, for the design of the reconstruction and modification process, as well as for the management and execution of the designed technical solutions and processes.
Outcome: The student acquires knowledge and gets acquainted in detail with all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-pneumatic structural and technical characteristics of all assemblies and devices on diesel traction, diesel-hydraulic, and diesel-electric locomotives, and train units, to the extent that he can organize and directly manage works in exploitation processes and maintenance and be actively involved in the processes of design and execution of reconstruction and modification, at all worksites and in all segments of work on traction vehicles of the Serbian Railways.
