Requirements:
Goal: Introducing students to the general methodology and basic procedures for traffic flows planning and land-use planning.
Outcome: Students have acquired knowledge of traffic and land-use planning and are trained to use research methods in traffic and analysis of transport requirements and offer in the preparation of study and planning documentation.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Road traffic in urban areas
  2. Cities and public passenger transport systems
  3. Traffic flow theory
  4. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic flows.
  5. General traffic planning methodology
  6. Characteristics of the traffic network
  7. Traffic demand
  8. Traffic offer
  9. Traffic planning process
  10. Traffic Flows and Land-Use Planning.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. 1. Auditory and numerical exercises in the field of road traffic flow planning and land-use planning.
2. Defining the elements for the seminary work.
