Requirements:
Goal: Introduction to the basic elements of the organization, organizational structure, and functions of organizations; Implementation of safety measures at work and safety measures and risk assessment at the workplace. Introducing students to the dangers and harms to human health that occur during the work process, possible personal protection measures, then European and domestic standards on protection equipment, and the need for proper use, maintenance, and storage of personal protective equipment.
Outcome: The ability of students to perform work organization of work and organization of safety at work in the business system, safety in organizational units of companies of various types of traffic; for the current job, the student is able to make an analysis of hazards and harms and determine the need for the use of protective equipment, as well as their types and quantities.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Organization as a production and business system
  2. Basic models of organizations
  3. Organization of protection and safety at the workplace, international legal sources of protection, the Constitution of Serbia, and protection at work
  4. Organization and legal regulation of occupational safety in traffic
  5. Rights and obligations and responsibilities of the employer, employees, trade unions, and ministries
  6. Manner and procedure of workplace risk assessment
  7. General and special measures in the field of safety and health at work
  8. Methodological procedures and obligations for inspection and testing of work equipment, devices, machines, and working conditions of physical and chemical hazards
  9. Obligations towards supervisory bodies
  10. Type and purpose of the equipment and personal protective equipment at the workplace and in the work environment, means and equipment for protection of the head, respiratory organs, arms, and legs, manner of use, storage and maintenance of equipment and means, planning, control, and use
  11. Organizing preventive and periodic examinations of working environment conditions
  12. Equipment for protection against ionizing and other radiation.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
