Knowing the contents in the ICE field.
Goal:
Overcoming the basis of the theory of combustion process in diesel engines, as well as the application of electronic fuel injection systems on modern diesel engines.
Outcome:
Student's ability to perform diagnostics of diesel engine electronic systems and remedy the identified malfunction.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
- Introductory lecture (introduction to the plan and program, goals, outcome and methods).
- Basic elements of the combustion process in a diesel engine.
- Fuel and lubricants for diesel engines
- Configuration of fuel and air supply systems for diesel engines.
- Construction of a conventional deisel fuel supply system.
- Electronic regulation in conventional deisel fuel supply system.
- Common rail system.
- Supply systems with mechanical closure injectors.
- Propulsion characteristics of diesel engines and their regulation.
- Turbocharger and supercharger for diesel engines.
- Fuel economy.
- Diagnostics of electric diesel injection systems.
- Ecological aspects of diesel engines.
- Buka dizel motora.
- Final considerations and preparation for the written part of the exam.
