Goal:
The objective of the course is to familiarize with the basic theoretical aspects of modern robotics and master the practical knowledge necessary for the application of robots.
Outcome:
As the outcome of the course students will be trained to use robotic technology, including the selection, introduction, programming and maintenance of robot systems.

Theoretical instruction:
- Introduction to robotics and automation.
- Classification and components of robotic systems.
- Kinematics of robots.
- Planning the trajectory.
- The dynamics of the robot.
- Drive units.
- Robot control techniques.
- Sensors in robotics.
- Programming systems.
- Automated machine systems for small-scale and large-scale production.
- Fixed automation.
- Flexible automation.
- The structure of the flexible manufacturing system.
- Flexible cell, line and system.
- Hierarchy of control of a flexible production system.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
- Programming and software simulation of robots in a virtual laboratory.
- Design and simulation of individual parts of robots in CAD software
