Goal:
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge of the theory and application of electronic injection system of diesel engines.
Outcome:
Upon passing the exam, the student will be qualified to check the correctness of electronic diesel injection systems.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
- The Diesel cycle. The process of changing the working substance.
- Fuel for Diesel engines. Combustion process in diesel engines.
- Operating parameters of diesel engines. Propulsion characteristics of diesel engines
- Fuel injection system in diesel engines. Installation of low pressure.
- High pressure pumps.
- Discrete fuel injection systems (UPS, UIS).
- Injectors and high pressure lines.
- Colloquium.
- Common rail fuel injection systems.
- Start assist systems for diesel engines.
- Exhaust-gas treatment.
- Electronic Diesel Control (EDC).
- Fault diagnostics of dkesel engines.
- Colloquium.
