Electric Power Converters Course code: 120507 | 6 ECTS credits

Basic information
Level of Studies:
Year of Study: 3
Semester: 6
Requirements: Basic knowledge's from the electroenergetics, electronics and mathematics
Goal: Acquiring the basic knowledge of power semiconductor components, electronic circuits for converting electrical energy and their functioning, as well as acquiring sophisticated knowledge's for basic methods of analysis of power converter circuits. Application of acquired theoretical and practical knowledge for the purpose of concrete application in the process industry and electric power industry.
Outcome: Students will be able to apply acquired knowledge in the design, use and maintenance of power converters (various types of rectifiers, inverters and choppers).
