Goal:
Getting acquainted with professional technologies and techniques for processing text, audio, images and videos.
Outcome:
The student will be trained for the professional realization of multimedia content.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
- Multimedia concepts and terminology, historical and technological overview of multimedia disciplines.
- Text in multimedia, typographic settings, subtitling programs, movie and TV shows.
- Image and illustration in multimedia, design of static images and drawings.
- Photo editing, methods of selection and extraction, methods of fusion of layers.
- Record linear assembly video. Lighting, composition, plans. Assembly work process.
- Elements of film language of directing and editing. Framing, Orientation and Timing.
- Film and video editing technology. Linear and non-linear editing.
- Art of directing and editing. Types of film montage. Television and broadcasting.
- Sound in multimedia. Technologies and techniques of recording, simulation and processing of digital audio for video.
- Film and video animation. Computer animation and effects. Simulations of natural phenomena.
- Digital composite, travelling mask and special effects.
- Shooting in front of the blue screen and digital composite.
- Shooting in front of the green screen and digital composite.
- Digital composite technology and color correction.
- Dramaturgy and project documentation of the visual-auditory storytelling.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
- Getting to know and work in word processing programs.
- Exterior: capture actors and backgrounds for text.
- Laboratory: a photo, picture, and text processing program.
- Laboratory: photo editing, integration of text and actors into the background.

- Studio: framing and recording linear editing workflow.
