Requirements:
Goal: Introducing students to basic theoretical and practical knowledge in traffic safety, causes and circumstances of traffic accidents, traffic accident investigations, elements of active and passive traffic safety and traffic safety campaigns.
Outcome: Students have acquired basic knowledge of traffic safety and they are trained for professional analysis of traffic safety, the application of appropriate traffic safety measures and the implementation of traffic safety campaigns to increase the level of road safety.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Road traffic safety as a scientific discipline
  2. Road traffic safety factors
  3. Regulations in the field of traffic safety.
  4. Measuring traffic safety levels
  5. Traffic accidents
  6. Prevention and campaing in traffic safety.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. 1. Auditory and numerical exercises in field of road traffic collisions.
2. Calculation of the stopping distance of the vehicle.
3. Road safety indicators.
4. Safety analysis in local community. 
5. Defining the elements for the seminary work.
