Requirements:
Goal: Acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge as well as mastering contemporary methods and techniques used in designing the organizational structure, as well as in the field of business system management.
Outcome: After the final exam, students will be trained in the application of professional knowledge, modern methods and techniques in defining the relationship between the organizational structure of the company and the appropriate information system as sub-management of processes in different business systems.

Theoretical instruction:

  2. Functional areas of management
  3. Sub-processes of management (planning, organization, recruitment, leadership, control)
  4. Manager and Leadership
  5. Communication management
  6. Methods and techniques of the decision making process
  7. Knowledge management
  8. Information systems: concepts and definitions
  9. Classification of information systems (according to: functional area, support provided, architecture)
  10. Transaction processing and functional information systems
  11. Operational, tactical (managerial) and strategic information systems
  12. Functional control information systems
  13. Relations between people and information systems
  14. Models client server and computing on the new company
  15. Management of information resources (allocation of resources, role of departmental IS, management of end consumers)
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Methods and techniques for realization of the planning, organization, management and control process. Models of the organization. Decision-making process and modern methods for making business decisions. Quality as a competitive advantage. Contemporary motivation theories .. The roles and tasks of the manager. Rising career. Stress management. Groups and converting groups into effective teams. Case studies.
